About us
Ghana’s first curated thrift platform
Who are we
Empowering Ghanaian youth through sustainable style, thrift, and community.
Be Tribal is a youth-led thrift fashion collective in Accra, Ghana. We are reshaping how young people experience fashion by turning thrift shopping into a movement of style, sustainability, and community.

What are we solving?
Tackling textile waste while creating jobs for Ghana’s youth
Ghana faces a textile waste crisis. Every week, millions of second-hand clothes enter Kantamanto Market, and up to 40% end up as waste, polluting our streets, landfills, and oceans. At the same time, Ghanaian youth face limited job opportunities, while fast fashion continues to push unsustainable consumption habits.
Our Solution
Be Tribal transforms thrift shopping into circular fashion:
We extend the life of clothing by making thrift pieces widely accessible, stylish, and highly desirable for everyday wear. Be Tribal empowers Ghana’s fashion lovers to shop consciously while embracing unique, eco-friendly finds.
We create meaningful opportunities for young people to become sellers, curators, and digital entrepreneurs actively shaping the thrift ecosystem, while our platform serves as a hub for existing thrift sellers to list, manage, and sell their pieces, with training support to help them use technology effectively to reach buyers.
We promote conscious consumerism and proudly reduce the demand for fast fashion by making thrifting irresistibly cool, aspirational, and rooted in a sustainable lifestyle that values creativity, community, and long-lasting style.
Our Impact
Environmental:
Reduce clothing waste by promoting reuse and recycling through thrift.
Social:
Provide youth with income opportunities in resale, styling, and digital commerce.
Cultural:
Shift perceptions of thrift fashion from “cheap second-hand” to “sustainable and stylish.”
Our Vision
To make Ghana a thriving hub for circular fashion innovation in Africa — a place where youth lead the movement for sustainability, creativity, and cultural pride, while redefining thrift as the future of style, building resilient communities, and inspiring the world with African ingenuity.
